Educons University at the Signing Ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding – National Center for Bioeconomy

Representatives of the EDU BEAMING project team, Simonida Vukadinović and Jelena Ješić, took part in the Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony within the CEE2ACT project, held on September 26, 2025, at the “Lipovica” Research Station.

The event, hosted by the Institute of Forestry, was opened by Dr. Nevena Čule, coordinator of the National Center for Bioeconomy and national contact for the CEE2ACT project. Participants were also addressed by Dr. Aleksandar Lučić, Deputy Director of the Institute, who presented the Institute’s activities, and Dr. Vladan Popović, who introduced the unique heritage of the “Lipovica” Research Station before guiding a tour of the site.

The ceremony marked the formal signing of the Memorandum of the National Center for Bioeconomy, established in 2023 as a platform for open, inclusive, and multidisciplinary cooperation in the field of circular bioeconomy.

The event gathered signatories of the Memorandum, project partners, and representatives of academia, business, and civil society. Together, they emphasized the importance of collaboration in creating sustainable solutions and advancing bioeconomy in Serbia.

The EDU BEAMING project team used the opportunity to present the project’s activities and invite participants outside the Communities of Practice (CoPs) to join the shared mission in developing bioeconomy.

Taking part in this important event, Educons University once again proved its strong commitment to innovation, sustainable policy development, and active engagement in national and international initiatives that connect science, industry, and society.
